Pats Peak Vacation Home Rentals

Overview

Pats Peak packs a diverse amount of terrain into a tidy package and makes sure it's all reliably covered by snow.

While this small peak isn't in the banana belt by any means, a lower elevation means that management must pay attention to snowmaking. With the recent addition of a new pump station and a new reservoir, 100% of Pats Peak's groomable terrain can now be covered by machine-made snow. Families have been coming here for more than four decades because this family-run area offers what they want: three separate beginner areas, a fine suite of cruising terrain, enough steep stuff to keep the family experts happy for a weekend, and programs designed to keep everyone happy.

Terrrain

With the tubing park right in the thick of things and a large, central base lodge, there's little chance of getting lost. All trails lead home, and with a new triple in the Valley area getting to the trails entails very little waiting. Beginners will be thrilled to find a long top-to-bottom run just for them (Breeze to Zephyr to Blast), while East Wind, Duster, Squall Line, Cyclone, and Twister provide increasing levels of challenge to those who like to cruise. Four trails for the most advanced members of the family comprise the terrain in the middle part of the mountain. Tornado, Hurricane, Vortex, and the F.I.S. Race trail provide real teeth to this small mountain; the latter offers a genuine racing challenge. Besides hosting many a high school and league race, F.I.S. is home to the ski team of New England College.

A well maintained terrain park in the Valley area will keep the freestyle crowd happy, and an expanded night schedule means you can get out and work off a hearty dinner under the lights.

Activities

Nearly every Saturday throughout the season there's a big fun event scheduled, from sledding parties to Hawaiian Day to fund-raisers for charitable causes. Besides that, Pats Peak is located in the pretty little college town of Henniker, and New Hampshire's capital city, Concord, is just 20 minutes away.
